Background to the MIT Enterprise Forum

For more than twenty-five years, the MIT Enterprise Forum has produced educational programs to fuel ideas and innovation worldwide. Launched initially in the United States in 1978, with the ambition of facilitating and strengthening the start up and growth of new technology companies, the global network of Enterprise Forums now numbers over 24 chapters (link to http://enterpriseforum.mit.edu/network/chapters.html), covering the United States, Canada, Taiwan, Israel, Japan and the United Kingdom.

During this time the MIT Enterprise Forum has supported spinouts which today generate revenues of $285 billion per annum. The UK Chapter was established in 2007 to continue to support, assist & educate high growth UK companies with global potential.
