Charles Armstrong, CEO of Trampoline Systems

Charles Armstrong is an ethnographer, entrepreneur and innovator based in London. Charles is founder and CEO of network analytics pioneer Trampoline Systems, selected by IDC as one of the world's top ten business software innovators. He is also founder and Director of One Click Orgs, the world's first platform for virtual organisations. These and other ventures were incubated by the think tank CIRCUS foundation formed by Charles in 1997.

Charles graduated in Social and Political Science from St John's College Cambridge and went on to be mentored by the sociologist and reformer Lord Young of Dartington. His year-long study into emergent social behaviour in the Isles of Scilly provided inspiration for several of his projects. Charles is a Fellow of the School for Social Entrepreneurs, a Board Member of the Fundacja Techsoup and advises several social and commercial ventures. He speaks frequently at high-level symposia and summits around the world. Charles is also an able baroque keyboardist and performs with several experimental electro-acoustic groups. His pamphlet on Emergent Democracy is published by O'Reilly in January 2010.
