Biography - Sonia Lo, Chalsys Capital.
Sonia Lo is the founder and Managing Partner of Chalsys Capital. Sonia has been an independent strategic advisor and angel investor for the last 5 years. Her blue-chip client base includes a Top 10 European Telco, 2 Top 5 European Financial Services groups and the third largest asset management company in South Korea (Woori Financial Group). She has also raised over US$100m in financing and been an angel investor in 11 companies. Sonia developed the current Chalsys Capital asset strategy as a result of the unique industrial knowledge and relationships she and the other two Chalsys partners built through their individual and joint client relationships. Formerly, Sonia was Director of Global Content at Google, Inc. and Director for Digital Investment at United News and Media PLC. Sonia has lived in 16 and conducted business in over 35 countries, initially with her South Korean diplomat parents and then as a result of her international advisory career. Sonia has an MBA with Honours from Harvard Business School and an undergraduate degree from Stanford University. Sonia was selected in 2000, and again in 2001, as a Top 100 Global Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum at Davos.
