The MIT Enterprise Forum of the UK is delighted to welcome Abdul Guefor, Managing Director of Intel Capital EMEA, as our next speaker in the Distinguished Entrepreneur event series.

Being responsible for Intel's technology investments from Russia to Portugal, Abdul is in a unique position to provide a perspective on the European technology industry. As one of two Managing Directors for this sizeable region, his responsibilities include setting investment strategy, reviewing proposals and deal structuring. The regional investment team consists of some 21 investment professionals located in ten countries. Investment focus areas include wireless communications, semiconductors, digital content and software.

Before joining Intel in 1999, Abdul spent 7 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers Transaction Support. Before PwC, Abdul was a design engineer at Plessey Semiconductors and Ikerlan Research Centre, Spain.

During the course of the event Abdul will talk about his view of the current economic climate for technology companies, what they need to do to survive in this environment and the difficulties and opportunities in investing in European technology companies.
