Toby Wilson Waterworth (Chairman) is a Chartered Accountant and has extensive experience in developing and funding technology businesses and groups. He has held senior board positions in both quoted and unquoted companies, having been involved in transactions valued in excess of $300 million raising funding in excess of $200m. In 1992 he was involved in the UK merger and acquisition activity for Robannic NV to build an international group of companies supplying packaging and control equipment to the global pharmaceutical industry.
Then in 1994 he joined Chiroscience Group plc when it floated on the London Stock Exchange and was involved in a period of high growth, M&A and fundraising (raising $80 million) prior to its sale to Celltech plc. He joined biopharmaceutical company Alizyme plc in 1996 when it floated on AIM and was part of a small team running one of the first "virtual" biopharmaceutical companies in Europe, raising $70m million over a five year period and overseeing its admission to the Official List on the London Stock Exchange at a value of $400 million. Since then he has been involved in the start-up, M&A, development and funding of a number of businesses, including Atlantic Healthcare, Novexin, Astron Clinica, HD Clinical and AIM listed Bango and Lipoxen.
Toby is also a Global Dealmaker in healthcare and advisor to the British Government.
